The movie is directed by Mark Waters. The movie opens with Arthur Spiderwick putting a seal to his field guide, that contains all the secrets about the magical creatures that co-exists with humanity. Arthur Spiderwick dedicates his entire life in learning about the magical creatures, and its secrets. Fearing that the field guide may go into evil hands of Mugarath, an evil Dark Lord who wants to have control over all the world, he seals the book inside his house, and puts a circle of protection around his house.
Eighty years later, twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace and his sister Mallory and mother move to their great great uncle house (Arthur Spiderwick). Jared finds that there is something strange in the house, and finds the field book left by his great uncle, and learns about all the secrets of the magical creatures. Mugarath learns about the field book, and wants to accomplish his task of taking over the world. The twin brothers, sister Mallory and mother finally saves the book from the hands of Mugarath, and kills the dark Lord. To visit the official site, visit here.
