Taken is a French thriller/action movie directed by Peter Morel. It is about a retired spy who tracks down a gang who has kidnaps his daughter. The movie is starred by Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace.

Bryan Mills (Neeson) has a bad life after his wife divorces him, and to live away from his daughter Kim (Maggie). To be in touch with Kim, he leaves his job at CIA and does small jobs as security guards. On Kim’s birthday, Bryan buys her a karaoke system, as he knows that she wants to become a pop singer. This is one of the craziest movies I have ever seen with a crazy concept in it. Though it may not sound crazy to you, let me see how you feel about the movie. The movie starts with George Lass being killed by a toilet seat from the outer space. Then a couple of cartoons about how God played doo-doh (I don’t know what this means!!) to create the universe and living things. And some cycle about life and death, and that death is inevitable at some stage in the life. The movie continuously speaks of some space-time continuum, where George Lass is reaper. A reaper is one who is responsible for bringing the soul from a dead, to the light. George has a cell phone that beeps the location and the name of the person who is going to die. George goes to the location and pulls the soul out from the body and guides them to the eternal place of peace. Though George is dead, she is still visible to the living world and can communicate to them. To the outside world, she is considered as some living being. Things go out of control when their boss Rube is replaced by another boss Cameron.

When the new boss comes, everything changes. Earlier the reaper would be notified about the place and name of the person-to-die through post-its. Now it is replaced by cell phones. And George is notified about the death of Hudson with wrong time, and by the time she reaches the place the body is taken to the hospital and he is escapes death. She goes to the hospital to bring the soul out, where she meets her sister. Her sister was rejected by Hudson’s old girl friend to meet him. The rest of the story evolves about how George and her sister get together.

Seven Pounds is about an IRS agent who opens the scene that wants to commit suicide. The rest of the movie is about why the agent wants to commit suicide. Wills Smith plays the role of the IRS agent, who loses his wife in a terrible accident on the highway. The movie is directed by Gabriele Mucino, who directed The Pursuit of Happiness. The tagline for the movie is "Seven Names. Seven Strangers. One Secret".

Will Smith comes in contact with seven different strangers, and helps them without any reason. Only in the climax, we know that there are connected by an incident. Will Smith has a fascination for jelly fish, though it is considered as the deadliest of all the underworld animals. Will Smith happens to be an aeronautical engineer, who quits the job after the accident, and takes the credentials of his brother, an IRS agent to find these seven strangers. He makes a call to Ezra, a blind meat salesman, and harasses him at work to check whether he loses his cool soon. Will Smith donates a part of his liver, a kidney and also some of his bone marrow to different people. Later he finds out that Connie Tepos leads a difficult life with her abusive boy friend. Will Smith helps her family by giving his house, far located from the clutches of her boy friend. Later he comes into relationship with Emily Posa, a severe heart patient who needs a rare blood type heart. Emily's conditions worsen, and Will Smith commits suicide by dropping the jelly fish in the bath tub with him. He donates his heart to Posa, and his eyes to Ezra. The reason he helped these strangers, are they are connected in the terrible accident that took the life of her wife. To view the official site, click here.
